Starting the cycling season with confidence
With the first days of spring, more and more cyclists are getting back on their bikes. The mild climate and the first rays of sunshine create a spring-like atmosphere on the famous paths through the Wachau and the Waldviertel. The colourful apricot blossom enchants the UNESCO World Heritage Site Wachau every year and attracts cyclists for their first training rides in the picturesque landscape.
As organisers, we also start the coming cycling season with confidence and hope and assume that our annual cycling highlight for hobby bikers on 18 July 2021 can be held under the hygiene and safety regulations in force at the time of the event. For this purpose, a comprehensive COVID-19 prevention concept will be developed and carefully implemented on site by a COVID-19 officer.
Should the COVID-19 requirements of the federal government in July not allow us to implement the Wachauer Radtage as usual (e.g. mass start), we would still like to offer our participants an exciting cycling experience this year. For this reason, we have been working behind the scenes for some time on a concept that will enable us to hold our event safely, even if it is under different conditions than usual.
Our sense of responsibility towards our participants and partners is our top priority!
We will keep you informed about the next steps and will provide you with concrete information in time.
Thank you for your trust and continue to take good care of yourselves and others!
