On Monday, June 24, the race director and ex-professional cyclist Bernhard Rassinger, the organizer Hans Holzer and the Wachauer Radtage organization team visited the three race tracks as well as the new track of the Wiesbauer Vintage Tour. Special attention was paid to the new section of the Krone Champions cycling marathon and the Raiffeisen Power cycling marathon, which leads from Melk via Loosdorf to Aggsbach-Dorf.
The annual ride serves to offer the participants of the Wachauer Radtage the highest possible degree of safety as usual. Dangerous turns and sections of the route are secured by the executive and supplemented by security personnel and volunteer fire brigade helpers. For the safety of the participants, countless police officers, stewards as well as doctors and paramedics are on duty throughout the entire event. Nevertheless, we would like to advise all participants to drive carefully and with foresight in order to be able to react in time to obstacles or unevenness on the course. During the entire cycle marathon the StVO applies to all participants, to which all cyclists must adhere. During the race all timekeeping points and refreshment stations were also checked and determined, so that the physical well-being as well as a correct timekeeping will be taken care of.
Due to road construction activities in the area of B33 between Schönbühel and Aggsbach Dorf the route was adjusted this year. The Krone Champions and Raiffeisen Power Radmarathon are affected by this. In agreement with the responsible authorities and the executive, we have defined the following diversion: Melk - B1 - Loosdorf - L106 - Aggsabach Dorf.
The Wiesbauer Vintage Tour starts on Saturday, 13 July 2019 at 13:30 behind the Römerhalle in Mautern.
The three events of the Wachauer Radtage start on Sunday, 14 July 2019 at 9:00 am in front of the Römerhalle in Mautern.
We are already looking forward to seeing you!
